General Information

The Children’s Assessment Center assesses, supports, and assists child victims of suspected sexual abuse. We provide interviews, assessments, medical exams, counseling, and court support. All of our services are offered in a child-friendly, sensitive, and safe environment and are free of charge to all children and nonoffending family members. We serve the entire Kent County area. The Center also works with a call-out team to provide emergency care in the thirteen counties making up West Michigan on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Center is a private, nonprofit organization funded through a partnership of government and community support and is a fully-accredited member of the National Children's Alliance. We are a United Way Agency and receive Michigan Crime Victims Services Commission funding.
