General Information

The Children’s Assessment Center assesses, supports, and cares for child victims of suspected sexual abuse. We provide interviews, assessments, medical care, short-term counseling, and legal protection. All of our services are offered in a child-friendly, sensitive, and safe environment and are free of charge to all children and nonoffending family members. We serve the entire Kent County area. The Center also works with a call-out team staffed, in part, by DeVos Children’s Hospital, to provide emergency care in the thirteen counties making up West Michigan on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
